Doug Kelbaugh

University of Michigan, USA

Doug Kelbaugh has been an educator for four decades, and acclaimed practitioner that has won over twenty design awards and competitions. While U of Washington’s Architecture Chair, he invigorated the program with may new initiatives, including the annual design charrette, while publishing two of his four books on urban design. As Dean at Michigan, he started the Master of Urban Design degree and the Real Estate Certificate program, while making 40 faculty hires and increasing the Taubman College endowment from $7M to $75M. He speaks internationally, publishes voluminously, and teaches popular courses, including the College’s most popular elective. He took a two-year leave as Exec. Director of Design & Planning for Limitless LLC, overseeing a large staff in a development company headquartered in Dubai, with a portfolio of major mixed-use, walkable, transit-oriented projects in Asia, the Middle East and Europe. He is the 2016 winner of the Topaz Medallion for Excellence in Architectural Education, the highest North American award in the field, and was recently awarded the Emil Lorch Collegiate Professorship

Vincenzo Naddeo

University of Salerno, Italy

Vincenzo Naddeo joined the Department of Civil Engineering at University of Salerno in 2006, after earning his MSc degree with honors in Civil Engineering, and his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering. From 2014 dr. Naddeo is associate professor in Sanitary Environmental Engineering. He is expert of the European Union from 2007 in the seventh Framework Programme for Research (FP7) first and in Horizon 2020 now

Hazem Elzarka

University of Cincinnati, USA

Dr. Hazem Elzarka is a Professor and former Chair of the Construction program at the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Cincinnati, USA. He also taught at the Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management, College of Business, University of Denver. He is a registered professional engineer (PE) in the State of Ohio, a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP), a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), a Certified Carbon Reduction Manager (CRM), a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) and a certified Green Building Engineer (GBE). He has consulted for federal and state agencies and major US and international construction firms. His consulting/research work is in the areas of Infrastructure asset management, Green Buildings, applications of advanced computer technologies in the construction industry, and Total Quality Management. His work related to asset management focused on roadway drainage structures, pavement management systems and bridge management systems. His work related to Green Buildings has focused on construction waste management, commissioning, energy conservation, and renewable energy and LEED education. His work related to the applications of advanced technologies in the construction industry has focused on integrated design and management systems, computer-aided design, knowledge-based systems, relational databases, and object-oriented methodologies. He has more than 50 publications in refereed journals and conference proceedings sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers, The American Institute of Constructors, the Associated Schools of Construction and the Construction Industry Institute. He has recently served as the principal investigator of several research projects for the Ohio Department of Transportation (more than 1.2 Million US Dollars since 2012) related to smart infrastructure asset management.
